Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), The move, the first of its kind in the city, is part of ‘Ahl (People of) Al Quran International’ drive launched on an annual basis by the department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities.
“All segments of the society will know about the rulings, teachings, and meanings of the Holy Quran, apart from the rights and duties stipulated therein,” Mohammed Suheil Al Muheiri, Director of Preaching and Counseling Section said on Tuesday.
Eman Esmael, head of the a year-long campaign, said foreign communities may attend the Holy Quran explanation forums at several places.
“The forums will be held at Princess Haya Cultural Islamic Center at Mezher, Pakistani Association at Oud Mehta, and Communities Sunnah Centre” Esmael said, adding that the public may now more about the location and timings of activities at: http://www.iacad.gov.ae/en/Pages/AhlAlquraan.aspx.
“The program, spanning over 30 different activities, is meant to spread better understanding of the Holy Quran through live classes, courses, online classes, correspondence courses, short courses, workshops, lectures, websites, media and competitions.
“Further lectures and activities are to be held at orphanages, as well as care centers for elderly and special needs people,” she said.
Students and children can also enjoy very interesting surprises, activities, and competitions at Mudhesh Fun City.
“Over a month and a half, children will memorize some short chapters of the Quran, learn the explanation of others, draw, color, and play,” Esmael added.
